INDIANA KARST CONSERVANCY

"Protecting caves through active conservation"

WHITE-NOSE SYNDROME has now been confirmed in multiple Indiana caves, including those owned by the IKC. Cave closure efforts appear to have been ineffective to prevent spread of the disease. On that basis the IKC executive board has decided not to renew WNS-related access restrictions for the caves under our management. However, Robinson Ladder Cave will continue to be closed during winter months to protect hibernating Indiana bats.
Please continue to employ current decontamination procedures both before and after caving.
