Cave Education
The IKC has a standing committee for purposes of Cave Education and Outreach. The purpose of this committee is to foster the protection of Indiana's unique karst resources through active conservation education. We are ready to present to your school, agency, museum, business, and more. Our presentations can be tailor-made for your particular needs.
More and more people are becoming interested in caves. As awareness of our underground resources grows, so has the need for prompt, unbiased information.
Recently, the IKC approved a consolidated plan to close this knowledge gap. It includes regional coordinators, traveling trunks of activities and related materials, training more educators, a database, and media coverage.
