The Indiana Karst Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit conservation organization that has been protecting caves and karst landscapes, and educating people about the importance and unique aspects of karst since 1986.

Wayne Preserve Workday: Sunday, March 9, 10 am - 2 pm EDT. RSVP via email to property manager Cris Seuell at Cseuell82@gmail.com. Light lunch/snacks provided. Feel free to pitch in. Bring loppers if you have them and gloves/water. Help prepare the Wayne Preserve for its final EQIP inspection. We will be snipping and hand pulling multiflora rose and cutting/painting autumn olive. If you aren't sure what that means, no worries, Cris will pair you with someone who does!

Pre-Meeting Social Time: Sunday March 23, 12:15 - 1:00 pm EDT, Monroe County Library, Ellettsville Branch, Meeting Room A, 600 W. Temperance Street, Ellettsville. Our Annual Business Meetings are long, but all members are welcome to attend. Consider coming early to chat with the board and other supporters. Meeting starts promptly at 1 pm and will last until ~4 pm.

Big Day for the Birds at Buddha Preserve

Join us for a bird walk and citizen science as we partner once again with the Indiana Audubon Society and the Indiana Land Protection Alliance for October Big Day. Our event this year takes us back to the Buddha Karst Nature Preserve with an expert birder guide provided by Indiana Audubon. ILPA member trusts throughout the state participate in this event, which is great for newbies, experts, and non-birders alike! Registration opens in September through the Audubon website. Henderson Park - The IKC now manages access for the City of Salem and The Nature Conservancy to the caves within Henderson Park for recreational caving. Groups wishing to gain access need to apply for a permit. Click here for details.

Indiana DNR - The IKC manages access for the DNR to several caves within Spring Mill State Park and Cave River Valley for recreational caving. Groups wishing to gain access must apply for a permit and comply with proper WNS decontamination protocols. Click here for details.
